This series continues to surprise with its razor wit, breathtakingly lovely Mary Louise--I swear she just keeps gettin' prettier and the prettier she gets the more hilarious she is--the ever-young and brill Justin Kirk, fearless and gorgeous Elizabeth Perkins, the funmeister Kevin Nealon, and for the first four shows of this season, the one and only laugh out loud funny funny Albert Brooks.  I can only say more please--his delivery is flawless--and he's in very good company.

The Adams Chronicles

This 1976 PBS series is now out on dvd so we were able (thank you netflix) to catch episode 12 in which TL and I both appear, in different scenes.  Tom sports those then fashionable long sideburns (he plays John Hay).  I'm in a stunning apricot gold satin number with an upswept do (as Fanny, Ned Hooper's wife).  Both of us with our smart, Anglo-American speech, nice for that period feel.  Anyway, there it is, 'the living record of [our] memory,' the year we were married.  Old-fashioned series next to the glorious John Adams with brilliant Giamatti and Linney et al, but with its own pleasures nonetheless.  And looks, thanks to technology, like it was made yesterday.
